Your Privacy Matters
Ligaia’s number one priority is your trust. Your privacy is essential to earning and keeping that trust. This tenet drives all the decisions we make, as well as how we gather, use and store any information we get from you. That said highlights our promise. “We will never rent, sell or trade your personal information to anyone. Ever!”
When you register with Ligaia and open an account with us, it may seem like we ask for lots of information. Such as your name, address and mobile numbers and your bank card details. We need this to open your Ligaia account and to be able to contact you with updates and information and in the event of a problem or for happy news.
Information Collection
The types of information we collect depend on whether you are a User or Customer. We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide information to us. Examples of instances when we collect Personal Data include when you answer questions on our website to determine what kind of donation we might recommend if you were to become a Customer, when you register to open an account, when you contact our client service with questions or when you become a Customer. Wherever Ligaia collects Personal Data, we make an effort to link to this Privacy Policy and other relevant terms, such as our Terms of Use.
Information collected from Users
We collect personal information such as name, address, telephone number and other optional information you may provide.
We may also collect your e-mail address and/or telephone number should you opt to engage via our website, email or dedicated telephone number with our client service.
Information collected from Customers
If you choose to become a Customer, besides to the information we collect from you as a User, as described above, we will ask you for certain information, including, but not limited to, your full legal name, contact information, birth date, citizenship, donation objectives.
In General
Ligaia’s servers automatically record certain information (“Non-Identifiable” or “Aggregated Data”) about your use or evaluation of our Service. Like other technology platforms, websites and services, Ligaia records information such as browsing activity, data displayed or clicked on (such as UI elements, ads, and links), and other information (such as browser type, IP address, date and time of access, cookie ID, and referrer URL). Along with cookies, Ligaia may also use third-party tracking technology, such as Google Analytics, to record similar information about you and your activity on the Site.
How will we protect your Information?
We know that security is a major concern for many of our customers. To give you peace of mind we have advanced security systems in place. To protect your information, we use secure server software that encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. To minimise the risk of anything being intercepted before we receive it. We follow a security procedure, required under the Danish Data Protection laws. We do our part to make sure that any information we store about you is protected from unauthorised access.
The information we collect from you, through our website or through correspondence, will only be used for the following purposes:

To protect your information on our internal systems we also:
– Use full log in and security question controls on our system.

Will we pass your data on to third parties?
Ligaia will never pass your details to a third party for marketing purposes without your permission. The only circumstances in which we would share any of your personal information with others are:
– When working with our financial partners to process your order or account.
– If we ask research companies to contact you for your opinion on our services, in which case we would only give them the necessary details.
– If we sell Ligaia to another company, our data records are part of our business.
Can you ask for what information we hold about you?
You can contact us at any time to ask what information we are holding and we will be happy to share it with you unless we are prohibited by law from doing so (in certain cases of suspected terrorist activity or money laundering investigations we may be required to withhold this information by legal authorities or SOCA (the Serious Organised Crime Agency).
Can you opt in or out of receiving offers?
We usually like to send our customers special offers that we think will be of interest to them. You can choose whether you want to receive offers and here is how to let us know your preferences:

Minors
Ligaia is not to be used by anyone under the age of 18 and, as such does not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any Personal Data to Ligaia. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child under the age of 18 has provided us with personally identifiable information without his or her consent, he or she should contact us at support@ligaia.com and we will delete such information from our files.
What are Cookies?
Like most websites, we use cookies, which are small text files. Those will be send to your computer or other access device, to make interaction between you and us fast and easy. Cookies are not computer programmes, they can’t pass on viruses and can’t read other information stored on your hard drive. They simply contain and pass on to our website as much information as you have disclosed to us. Cookies are like Post-its, and allow us to remember your registration details for future visits and allow you to move from one part of our website to another more easily.

Can You improve Your security?
To make sure you keep your information as secure as possible, choose a password that is unique. DON’T go for anything obvious like family names – and never reveal your password to anyone else. Avoid using the same password for several internet sites. When you finish using online websites for shopping or for financial transactions, close down your browser. This will delete temporary cookies from any site you have visited.

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any Privacy Policy changes and, if the changes are substantial, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes).
